The NBA Defensive Player of the Year odds race was a wild ride this season, with San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama being the runaway favorite prior to a blood clot issue abruptly ending his season.

Although he finished just 12th in the league in defensive win shares (3.8), the Cavaliers were eighth in defensive rating with Mobley anchoring the interior alongside Jarrett Allen. It's safe to assume that Wembanyama will open as the favorite over Mobley next season.
