The Orlando Magic defeated the Boston Celtics in Game 3 to cut the series deficit to 2-1. Now, we make our best Celtics vs. Magic prediction for Sunday’s 7 p.m. ET (TNT) Game 4 at Kia Center in Orlando, Fla. Can Boston take a commanding 3-1 series lead, or will Orlando even this series?

Jayson Tatum played in Game 3, but the Magic found a way to win anyway. Trailing 59-49 at halftime, the Magic outscored the Celtics 24-11 in the third to open up a lead, and they held on late to escape with the narrow two-point victory.

While Orlando has certainly made this a series, Boston should blow the hosts out in Game 4. Even after a perfect third quarter, the Magic still only won the game by two, and the Celtics had the ball with a chance to tie or take the lead at the end. As long as the visitors don’t have another terrible quarter like they did in Game 3, the Magic cannot keep pace.

The Celtics won each of the first two games by at least nine, and they’ve yet to allow the Magic to score more than 100 points. Meanwhile, Boston has scored at least 103 in two of the three games in this series, despite taking on the top-ranked scoring defense in the league.

All that said, the Celtics will need players to step up and support Tatum on Sunday. In Game 3, Tatum dropped 36, but no other player scored more than 19. Kristaps Porzingis only managed seven after dropping 20 in Game 2.

Ultimately, Boston's supporting cast will show up, while Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner will do everything they can to keep Orlando in this game. Unfortunately for the Magic, that duo won’t be able to keep pace with one of the most complete teams in the league, as the refocused Celtics dominate on both sides of the ball.
